The General Department of Cadastre and Geography (GDCG) under the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction provides the national precise positioning service in Cambodia using GNSS such as GPS.
With the technical cooperation of JICA from 2021, GDCG currently operates 5 Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) in Phnom Penh, Kandal, Kampong Speu, Siem Reap and Stung Treng
Using GNSS observation data collected at these CORS, GDCG provides correction data for registered GNSS users to achieve a few cm level precision in real-time around CORS.
If you prepare your GNSS receiver (often called rover) with internet connection and subscribe our correction service from Khmer GEONET, you can obtain official coordinates authorized by GDCG (Currently in CGD09, i.e. ITRF2005. In future ITRF2020).
Currently Khmer GEONET is in a test phase, and provides available services as they are around Phnom Penh area, and in Siem Reap and Stung Treng, is free of charge till 24th June 2025.
If you are interested in our real-time correction and other data, please contact us. Thank you.
